Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is Stephen Sondheim’s darkly comic musical thriller about a wronged barber who returns to London seeking revenge. With a book by Hugh Wheeler adapted from Christopher Bond, the production features grim twists, dramatic music, violent spectacle, and the story’s notorious barber-and-pie-shop partnership.
Vagabond Players’ production is directed by Stephen Foreman and TJ Lukacsina. It opens the theater’s season and is presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International, which also supplies the authorized performance materials.
