Scribente Maternum: Write Like a Mother Retreat
Scribente Maternum is an immersive writing retreat for writers who identify as mothers. The retreat creates a supportive, down-to-earth community focused on the writing process rather than finished work, exploring the tension between motherhood and creative practice. Participants are invited to draw inspiration from the joys, exhaustion, distractions, and insights of parenting while making time for rest, mindfulness, nature, stillness, and sustained writing.
The experience includes dedicated writing time, craft and writing sessions, intentional movement, mindfulness practices, community-building, and meals and snacks. The retreat’s featured contributors include authors and cultural commentators Christine Platt and Glory Edim, along with yoga teacher Jeanette Nazarian.
