S’more Making with Dustin Renwick and Flannery Fox: The Best American Food and Travel Writing
S’more Making with Dustin Renwick and Flannery Fox celebrates *The Best American Food and Travel Writing 2026*, featuring Renwick’s essay about the history of s’mores. Guests can gather in The Ivy Bookshop’s garden for a bonfire storytime, learn about the origins of this classic treat, and make s’mores using the shop’s new Solo Stove.
Renwick will be joined by Flannery Fox for a conversation about the collection, which was selected by renowned chef José Andrés. Renwick is a writer and photographer whose work has appeared in *National Geographic*, *The Washington Post*, and *Outside*. His recent book is *Beyond the Gray Leaf*, a biography of an overlooked Civil War poet, and his writing often draws on extensive archival research, particularly stories connected to the Midwest and Great Lakes. Fox is pursuing a master’s degree in occupational therapy at Towson University and lives in Hampden.
