Heels Performance Class

Heels Performance Class is an all-levels workshop focused on the technique, movement, and stage presence of performing in heels. Participants will work on commanding walks, footwork, performance styling, body movement, choreography fundamentals, and performing with confidence and intention. No dance experience is required, and the class welcomes beginners as well as students looking to refine existing skills.

The class is part of Creative Alliance’s Charm School of Burlesque programming and pairs naturally with the same-night Burlesque 101 workshop. Together, the classes introduce students to the movement, artistry, and culture of burlesque while building toward a planned nine-week intensive in 2027.

What to Bring: Heels are encouraged but not required, and any heel height is welcome. Beginners may participate barefoot. Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows free movement, and bring water and a towel.

Accessibility: The class is open to all levels, bodies, and abilities. Students with mobility considerations are encouraged to contact the organizers before class so accommodations and setup can support their participation.
