Sabotage

Alfred Hitchcock’s *Sabotage* follows a sinister foreign agent operating in pre–World War II London while concealing his activities from his beautiful wife. The film is relatively restrained in its use of Hitchcock’s signature suspense set pieces, but it builds toward two especially powerful sequences, including one that permanently changed the stakes of cinematic storytelling.
