Mobtown's 15th Anniversary

Mobtown Ballroom is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a three-night party honoring the community that has shaped the venue since its founding. The celebration will feature live music, competitions, and plenty of dancing and festivities. Meschiya Lake, who sang at the Ballroom’s very first event in 2011, will return to help lead the anniversary celebration.

Opened in 2011 by a group of young swing dancers, Mobtown Ballroom was built by its community, including the construction of its original 3,000-square-foot sprung wood dance floor by volunteers. After relocating from an 1860s church to Station North in 2023, the community built the venue again. For 15 years, the Ballroom has served Baltimore’s arts and culture communities.
