Phil Vassar (6:30PM)

Phil Vassar brings his piano-led country show to Rams Head On Stage as part of his “25 Years of Paradise” Tour. The performance draws on his extensive catalog, including “Carlene,” “Six-Pack Summer,” and “Just Another Day in Paradise,” along with the storytelling and energetic stage presence that have defined his career.

Vassar grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia, influenced by gospel, bluegrass, Motown, Queen, and Billy Joel. Before becoming a recording artist, he established himself as a Nashville songwriter, writing hits for Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina, and others. He later released nine albums, earned ACM Top New Male Vocalist honors, and collected 10 No. 1 hits and 27 Top 40 singles. The page also notes his performances for U.S. presidents and appearances alongside Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson. Following a 2023 heart attack, Vassar has described a renewed commitment to mentoring young songwriters and supporting the community.
