Virtual Artist Talk with Jacob Estevez

Virtual Artist Talk with Jacob Estevez is part of Baltimore Clayworks’ Artist Talk series, a virtual conversation offering insight into the artists connected with the organization and the work they create. The program highlights the central role of ceramic artists in Baltimore Clayworks’ mission to inspire the community and strengthen the region’s contemporary ceramic arts scene.

Jacob Estevez is a New England–based ceramic sculptor currently completing an MFA at PennWest Edinboro University after earning a BFA from the New Hampshire Institute of Art in 2017. His experience includes carpentry, masonry, bronze foundry work, and scenic art for the Boston film industry. He brings these varied trade skills into an unconventional clay practice that incorporates mixed media. His long-term goal is to establish a small business integrating art into living spaces and restoring a sense of fantasy to the idea of building a dream home.
