Wordsmith & Meira Silverstein

Wordsmith & Meira Silverstein present *Chords & Cadence: Resilience, Love & Hope*, a dialogue between spoken word and classical music. Baltimore multidisciplinary artist Wordsmith and violinist Meira Silverstein shape the performance in real time, with narration and music responding to one another.

The program connects Wordsmith’s R&B- and hip-hop-influenced songs, which explore struggle, survival, strength, and love, with classical works created amid war and persecution or by composers who had to fight for recognition. The performance is designed for both experienced concertgoers and audiences who are new to classical music, highlighting resilience, love, and hope across musical traditions.
