AND Creative Film Club (October) – Häxan (1922 by Benjamin Christensen)

The October meeting of the AND Creative Film Club features Benjamin Christensen’s 1922 silent film *Häxan*. Blending documentary-style material with elaborate expressionist horror imagery, the film is presented as both a scholarly exploration and a disturbing early Scandinavian horror masterpiece. A discussion will follow the screening, along with a technical demonstration of how the soundtrack is created.

The evening also marks the film club’s first anniversary. Guests can visit the gallery’s *Folklore & Folktales* exhibition before or after the film, and refreshments including popcorn, drinks, and snacks will be available. The club’s resident film enthusiasts curate screenings ranging from surrealist works and silent films to underground movies that challenge conventional perspectives.
