Psycho in Concert
Psycho comes to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in a live film-concert presentation for Halloween. Bernard Herrmann’s iconic, strings-only score is performed by the BSO while the classic thriller plays on screen, heightening the film’s suspense through live musical timing, sharper silences, and intensified attacks. Dialogue and sound effects are delivered through the hall’s sound system, and subtitles are provided.
The program is part of the Popular Collection and Signature Series, with Nicholas Hersh conducting the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Costumes and themed attire are welcome as long as they do not distract from or obstruct other audience members’ experience.
