Palmyra

Palmyra brings its blend of traditional Southern instrumentation, indie rock, folk, soul, post-rock, and emo-influenced songwriting to The 8x10, with support from Geraldine. Formed in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley by Teddy Chipouras, Mānoa Bell, and Sasha Landon, Palmyra explores themes including grief, gender dysphoria, identity, and coming of age. Their full-length album *Restless* was released in March 2025 on Oh Boy Records.

Geraldine opens with a roots-oriented string-band sound that combines old-time music, American folk, bluegrass, and alternative country. The group features banjo, mandolin, guitar, fiddle, Appalachian flat-foot dancing, and four-part harmonies, performing both original songs and traditional material. Geraldine has released the albums *Harvester* and *Paw Paw*, and several of the band’s songs have received recognition in national songwriting contests.

Ages: 18 and over. A valid photo ID is required for entry. Patrons ages 18–20 must pay an additional $5 cash cover at the door.
