Pre-Concert Lecture: Forces of Nature

This pre-concert lecture explores the music featured in the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra’s *Forces of Nature* concert, with composer Reinaldo Moya and composer Luke Soneral discussing the inspiration behind their works. WBJC Program Director Jonathan Palevsky will also examine the personal circumstances and social movements that influenced the compositional styles of Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Igor Stravinsky.

Palevsky’s presentation places the concert repertoire in broader historical, cultural, artistic, scientific, and musical contexts, with anecdotes and background intended to deepen the audience’s appreciation of the performance.
