GWCC Monthly Céilí
The Greater Washington Céilí Club’s monthly Irish social dance party brings traditional Irish sets and céilí dances to The Lyceum in Sandy Spring. The afternoon begins with a workshop on the Claddagh Set, followed by an evening of dancing to live traditional music. Beginners, experienced dancers, listeners, and anyone curious about Irish dance are welcome.
This month’s music is provided by Matt Mulqueen on keyboard, Laura Byrne on flute, Patrick Winch on banjo, and Seamus Wade on fiddle. Dances are called, and experienced participants are glad to help newcomers. A potluck supper takes place during the first break.
