Jiaoying Summers

Jiaoying Summers brings her bold, globally minded stand-up comedy to Magooby’s Joke House. Born in China and based in Los Angeles, Summers draws on cultural clashes, immigrant identity, motherhood, and dark humor for sharp, personal material. Her online work has earned more than 1 billion views and a following of over 4 million, including viral sketches such as “Uber Karen” and her comedic riffs on the meaning of English names in Chinese.

Summers was the first Chinese comedian to headline New York City’s Apollo Theater, doing so in 2023, and is an inductee of the Asian Hall of Fame. She also hosts the podcast *Tiger Mom (MILF)* and is appearing as part of her international tour, “Jiaoying: What Specie Are You?” Following a sold-out 27-show, 20-day run across nine cities in Asia and Australia, the tour continues through the United States.
